Our Mission
Here at the Transformation Garden, we offer a safe place to heal from the trauma of being sexually exploited. We are a Christ-centered residential program for adult female survivors of sexual exploitation and sex trafficking. We understand that individuals harmed by the commercial sex industry are as diverse as the situations themselves. If you determine that we are not the best fit for you, visit the Institute for Shelter Care’s National Shelter Landscape Map.

Our Purpose
At the Transformation Garden, we are dedicated to providing a compassionate and secure environment for adult female survivors of sexual exploitation and sex trafficking, facilitating their journey toward healing and empowerment. Our Christ-centered approach acknowledges the varied experiences of each individual, ensuring that all who come to us feel understood and supported as they reclaim their lives.

Our Goal
Our goal is to equip survivors with the necessary tools and resources to achieve lasting recovery and independence. We strive to foster personal growth through holistic support services, including counseling, education, and life skills training, so that each woman can thrive and build a hopeful future beyond her past experiences.

Our Story
Real Stories of
Transformation and Freedom
“If it wasn’t for God placing TG in my life, I would be lost, alone, and with no second chance at life. Death to life, that is what I would tell them. I now have family and friends and I am back on my feet. Lives change here because I personally see it everyday.”
"I was a hurt little girl worn out and tired from running. I didn’t know what to do. Transformation Garden scooped me up and walked me through this journey of healing - fighting beside me for my freedom.”
“One year into my healing, I began working with the after-school tutoring program and a children's choir. I have developed a passion and a love for this community and children.”
“I have learned who Jesus is and His love and forgiveness. The women God put here to disciple me, show me what love and family is supposed to be and how to live with integrity and honor.”
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Human Trafficking?
Human trafficking is the exploitation of people through force, fraud, or coercion for purposes such as labor or sex. It robs individuals of their freedom, dignity, and safety, often targeting the most vulnerable.
Impact
The damage goes far beyond physical harm. Survivors often carry deep emotional, spiritual, and psychological wounds. Healing requires more than escape from trafficking, it calls for safe community, compassionate care, and restoration of hope. A faith-based recovery approach offers both practical support and spiritual renewal, helping survivors rebuild trust, rediscover their worth, and begin a new life of freedom.
Signs of Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is real here in Mississippi — with hundreds of victims identified each year. Know the signs so you can help protect others:
-
Fearful or controlled behavior — avoids eye contact, seems anxious, waits for someone else to answer.
-
No ID or personal belongings — documents, money, or phones may be held by someone else.
-
Rehearsed or inconsistent answers about where they live or work.
-
Working extreme hours or found in locations not appropriate for their age (motels, bars, heavy labor sites).
-
Signs of abuse or neglect — unexplained injuries, malnutrition, poor hygiene.
-
Lives and works in the same place or movement is tightly controlled.
-
Rarely allowed to attend church, socialize, or speak alone.
-
